How To Find Your Why

Most people think that by learning more about nutrition and exercise they will reach their weight loss or fitness goal.

To be honest these are the last things you should be learning more about. Knowing what to eat and how to exercise is simple. In fact every single person deep down knows what to do to lose weight. All you have to do is eat a diet consisting of whole natural foods and follow a progressive exercise programme. It really is that simple.

If it’s that simple then why doesn’t everybody do it?

That’s because people don’t have the correct mindset.

You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don’t have the mindset to act on that knowledge then the knowledge is useless.

It’s no good jumping from exercise programme to exercise programme and nutrition programme to nutrition programme if you haven’t worked on your mindset. All you will be doing is gaining more knowledge.

Even the most basic exercise and nutrition programme can help you achieve results if you follow it fully, so you are far better off working on your mindset in order to reach your goal.

In order to do that you must find your WHY.

Your WHY is the reason you want to achieve your goal.

Once you find your WHY then your nutrition and exercise programme will fall into place.

Most people when trying to find their WHY come up with ‘I want to lose weight because I want to look better’.

Yes this is a WHY but it’s not going to inspire you to lose weight.

If it was going to inspire you then you would already have reached your goal as everybody thinks they want to look better.

What will really inspire you to reach your goal is the why behind the why.

This is where ‘peeling the onion’ comes in.

Just as you peel off the layers of an onion to get to the core, you want to peel off the layers of your WHY to get to your core why.

To every answer keep asking yourself why until you really can’t answer why anymore. Once you do this then this is your true reason why you want to reach your goal and it is the only thing that is going to inspire you to reach your goal.

Take 10 minutes right now to find your core why.

If you get to your core why in less than 5 why’s then this isn’t your true core why.

The more times you can ask yourself why, the more chance you have of finding your true inspiration.

Finding your WHY won’t just help you with your fitness goal it will help you in any aspect of your life.

It can help you make more money, it can help you improve your relationship and it can help you improve you career.

Once you find your core why then you will have a burning desire to make it happen.

Once you have this burning desire is when you should start to look for information to make it happen.

Information without a burning desire to take action is useless.

Information with a burning desire to take action is a deadly combination which will help you achieve anything you want in life.

Get fit, get healthy, get happy.
